Job summary

CJ Hiring is recruiting a Civils Foreman to join a large civil engineering contractor working on major transport infrastructure projects in Munster, primarily Cork and Limerick. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors to deliver civil works safely and to the required standard.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, coordinating groundworks and roadworks, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Civils Foreman on roads, utilities or infrastructure projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering construction.
• Experience supervising crews and coordinating subcontractors.
• Ability to read drawings and plan daily site activities.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to health and safety.
• Valid Safe Pass and a full driving licence.
• Experience working around live traffic and public areas would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities and allocate work to crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate groundworks, drainage, utilities, kerbing, paving and roadworks.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and engineering team to meet programme targets.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and public access.
• Coordinate deliveries, plant and materials to keep works progressing.
• Monitor progress and report site issues promptly.
