Job summary

Ward & Burke is seeking a Site Engineer (Civil) to join our Cork team. You will support planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects, working with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes on site.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in civil engineering or construction.

• Setting out, levelling and surveying works on site.

We are seeking a Site Engineer (Civil) to join our team in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated civil engineering professional to support the planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Setting out, levelling, and surveying works on site.
• Coordinating project procurement, materials, subcontractors and plant, including the preparation and maintenance of work schedules.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation to support accuracy, planning and the assessment of labour, plant and material requirements.
• Carrying out quality control inspections to ensure works comply with project standards and specifications.
• Maintaining accurate site records and supporting site management, including the supervision of site labour and subcontractor activities.
• Completing site-based duties such as cube making, site activity logs and other relevant tasks as required.

Requirements

• 1–3 years’ experience in civil engineering or construction is desirable.
• BSc degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning, organisational, teamwork and presentation skills.
• Full, clean driving licence.
