Job summary

DesignBuild Search are seeking a seasoned Civil Quantity Surveyor for opportunities in Dublin. You will handle cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for major civil and infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

The role requires at least 5 years in Civil QS, strong contracts knowledge, and proficiency with COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project, and MS Office. Travel to sites and a full driving license are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum of 5 years in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Proficient in COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for projects.
• Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services.
• Monitor project costs and progress, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and provide accurate valuations.
