Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join the Ballymore Eustace site team. You will deliver civil projects, ensure HSQE compliance, and liaise with consultants and subcontractors to drive on-site execution.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and a minimum of two years' experience, with strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities. A full driving license is essential. The company offers a laptop, phone, and competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar civil engineering role, preferably water/wastewater.
• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to work in a team and engage with suppliers and subcontractors at procurement stage.
• Problem solving and initiative to address issues during project delivery.
• Strong MS Office and CAD skills; GPS/total station familiarity.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering one or more projects, fostering a 'one team' culture.
• Ensure HSQE standards and on-site health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Familiar with HSQE system and current statutory requirements.
• Provide coverage for the project manager when required and manage day-to-day site operations.
• Understand project programme and budgets and manage overruns.
• Review and develop specifications and drawings; craft design-based solutions.
• Use GPS, Total Station and 3D scanning for setting out and As-Built data.
• Prepare technical reports, safety files and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet specified requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, site team and commercial resources.
• Lead weekly site meetings and coordinate safe, efficient delivery of works.
• Interact with employer representatives, stakeholders and the public.
• Keep up-to-date with standards and CPD; mentor junior staff.
