Job summary

TLI Group Ltd in Ireland seeks a Civil Engineer with 5+ years’ post-graduate experience, including Irish Rail projects, to lead civil works on rail infrastructure across sites nationwide from Crecora, Limerick.

You will manage investigations, review designs, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, mentor junior engineers, and support tendering and project delivery through to handover.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years on Irish Rail projects.
  • Proven track record in the delivery of rail infrastructure projects in Ireland.
  • Familiarity with Irish Rail standards, specifications, and approval processes.
  • Experience in managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams on live rail environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil engineering works on Irish Rail projects, including structures, stations, and associated infrastructure.
  • Oversee site investigations, surveys, and assessments to inform tender and construction activities.
  • Review design documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with Irish Rail and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including Irish Rail safety protocols.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, reporting progress to senior management and clients.
  • Liaise with Irish Rail representatives, local authorities, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and construction phase plans.
  • Support the tendering process by providing technical input and reviewing submissions.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and team members, fostering professional development.
  • Attend project meetings, site inspections, and audits as required.

Job description

TLI Group are accepting applications for a Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, including experience in Irish Rail (Iarnród Éireann) projects. The successful candidate will play a key role working within our transport Infrastructure in the delivery and management of civil engineering works on rail infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, safety, and quality requirements.

Successful candidate will be based out of Crecora, Limerick while working on sites throughout the country.
