Job summary

John Paul Construction is seeking a Civil Engineer for a role based in Dublin. You will manage, monitor and deliver engineering functions to meet project objectives while coordinating technical information and challenging design proposals.

The role requires setting out experience, 5–7 years in a similar role, and familiarity with main contractor infrastructure projects. A team-focused mindset and proficiency in BIM software and AutoCAD are essential.

Qualifications

• Third level degree required.
• 5-7 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience on main contractor infrastructure projects preferred (roads, motorways, infrastructure).
• Setting out experience is essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and BIM software including AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, coordinate and deliver all engineering functions to meet project objectives.
• Control and flow of all technical information on the project.
• Drive Health and Safety standards on site in coordination with the project team.
• Integrate and challenge design proposals to achieve optimal solutions.
• Monitor and drive quality of setting out standards on the project.
• Mentor the engineering team to develop technical skills.
