Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Ireland designing drainage and civil infrastructure for residential and commercial schemes.
• Chartered status or near Chartered with Engineers Ireland.
• Broad knowledge of civil engineering design best practice.
• Experience with UK and/or Ireland projects.
• Client-facing experience managing the civil engineering aspects of projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Define scope and manage delivery of project deliverables (drawings, reports).
• Lead civil site infrastructure and drainage design from feasibility to construction.
• Prepare and review Engineering Services Reports, Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Modelling, SuDS outputs.
• Advise directors, colleagues and clients on infrastructure, drainage, water, and SuDS requirements.
• Oversee drainage modelling using industry tools.
• Mentor and develop junior teams.

Civil Engineer *Office location in Limerick* Civil Engineer with 7+ years experience needed to join a highly respected, award-winning Engineering Consultancy in Limerick with offices also in Dublin and the UK. The successful Civil Engineer will be working in a client facing role, varied challenging civil design projects that range from residential to multi-million euro commercial developments.

Duties

The successful Civil Engineer will be responsible for establishing the scope of and managing the delivery of all project deliverables including drawings, reports, etc. Lead the design of civil site infrastructure and drainage design from feasibility to construction. As Civil Engineer you will prepare and review Engineering Services Reports,Flood Risk Assessment Reports, Drainage Modelling and Designs, SuDS strategies,etc. for planning applications and sure the output quality is kept at a high level. Engage with and advise directors, colleagues and clients on infrastructure, drainage, water and SuDS requirements for developments Oversee drainage modelling using industry tools (e.g.InfoDrainage or similar) Participation in all required meetings and carry out site inspections. Develop junior Teams talents through mentoring, delegation, and training.

Requirements

The successful Civil Engineer should have a minimum of 5 years experience in Ireland carrying out the design of drainage and civil infrastructure for residential and commercial schemes to meet regulations, sustainability and local authority requirements. You must be Chartered (or close to Chartered) with Engineers Ireland or equivalent. Broad knowledge of civil engineering design best practice and practical solutions. Experience with UK and/or Ireland projects. Client facing experience managing the civil engineering aspects of projects from start to finish.
