Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years ICU/HDU/acute hospital care experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; ability to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients.
• Monitor, assess, and record patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products safely and accurately.
• Operate life-support equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in resuscitation procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
• Ensure infection control and safety regulations are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients.
• Monitor, assess, and record patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and blood products safely and accurately.
• Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and participate in resuscitation procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Support and educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and healthcare regulations.
• Participate in continuous professional development and mandatory training.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Registered General Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Minimum 1-2 years' recent experience in ICU, HDU, or acute hospital care.
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Previous experience within an acute hospital setting.
