Job summary

Orange Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse for a leading private hospital in Limerick. You will provide specialised nursing care in a modern ICU, focusing on clinical excellence, patient safety and compassionate care.

The role requires NMBI registration, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, 1–2 years ICU/HDU experience, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Competitive salary with premium rates for nights and weekends. Ongoing professional development is supported.

Qualifications

Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
1–2 years ICU/HDU/acute hospital care experience.
BLS and ACLS certifications; ability to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients.
Monitor, assess, and record patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products safely and accurately.
Operate life-support equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
Respond to medical emergencies and participate in resuscitation procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
Ensure infection control and safety regulations are followed.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
