Job summary

Sheridans Cheesemongers in Leopardstown is seeking seasonal Retail Assistants for the Christmas period. You will welcome customers, learn about cheeses, and help shoppers pick products while staying friendly and efficient.

Full-time equivalent hours are 16 per week with weekend work; fixed-term seasonal contract until 31 December 2026. Training is provided, and staff enjoy a product discount on Sheridans items.

Qualifications

• No prior cheesemongering experience required; interest in cheese and good food preferred.
• Willingness to learn, positive attitude and enjoy working with customers.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Friendly, confident communication and engagement with customers.
• Flexibility to work 4–5 days per week, including weekends.
• Previous retail or food experience helpful, but training provided.

We're looking for seasonal team members to join Sheridans Cheesemongers over the busy Christmas period.

No previous cheesemongering experience is needed. An interest in cheese and good food is preferred, but not essential. What's most important is a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and an enjoyment of working with customers and as part of a team.
