Job summary

Aoibhneas in North Dublin is seeking a Child & Youth Coordinator to lead the Child and Youth Team, overseeing delivery, development and quality assurance of services. You will drive safeguarding, staff supervision and strategic direction in line with policy and legislation.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field and at least five years’ experience with children and families, including three years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Qualifications

  • Third Level qualification at degree level in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Child and Family Studies or a related discipline.
  • Five years' relevant experience with children, young people and families in social care, family support, youth work or domestic abuse setting.
  • Three years' experience in a supervisory, coordination or leadership role.
  • Excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on children and young people.
  • Knowledge of Children's First legislation and safeguarding practice.
  • Strong skills in case management, risk assessment, decision-making and inter-agency working.

Responsibilities

Role: Child & Youth Coordinator


Contract: Full-Time (39h pw) & Permanent


Salary: €68,754 per annum


Location: North Dublin Based


The Child & Youth Coordinator will oversee the delivery, development and quality assurance of Aoibhneas' Child and Youth Services. Providing leadership, supervision and strategic direction to the Child and Youth Team, while ensuring compliance with safeguarding, legislative and organisational requirements. The successful candidate will have a key part in strengthening outcomes for children and young people through effective service delivery, partnership working and programme development.


Working hours generally cover five days per week, Monday to Friday, between 9.00am and 6.00pm. Some evening work, on-call duties and occasional out-of-hours commitments may be required. Flexibility required to locations due to the nature of the service.

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience securing and managing funded service delivery programmes.

  • Access to own transport.
