Job summary

Cpl Healthcare seeks a Counsellor Therapist to deliver counselling to children on a sessional basis across multiple counties in Ireland. The role requires adherence to ethical codes, supervision, consent processes, and high privacy standards.

Applicants should hold a Level 7 or higher degree in a relevant field and meet additional professional accreditation or supervised experience criteria as part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 7 (primary degree) or higher in a relevant human science.
• Plus either professional counselling/psychotherapy qualifications recognised by major Irish bodies, or accredited membership and supervised experience.
• Two years minimum relevant supervised counselling experience for children or an accredited child/adolescent counselling qualification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the accrediting body.
• Attend professional supervision while providing counselling.
• Obtain parental consent and complete referral forms.
• Gather initial information and complete case summaries.
• Issue summaries of interventions and strategies.
• Maintain professional interactions and protect data privacy.
• Support quality assurance and evaluation of the programme.
