Job summary

Cpl Healthcare seeks counsellor therapists to deliver counselling services to children on a sessional basis across multiple counties in Ireland. You will provide blocks of eight sessions per referral, while adhering to ethical codes and maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires accredited qualifications in child counselling or related fields, plus supervised experience with children. A selection process will apply and indemnity insurance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 7+ qualification in a relevant human science.
• Qualification in counselling/psychotherapy recognised by a professional body.
• Full accredited membership with a professional body.
• Two years (min 150 hours) supervised experience providing counselling to children.
• Professional accreditation in child/adolescent counselling.
• One year of supervised experience providing counselling to children.
• Introduction to Children’s First e-learning programme.
• Holds valid professional indemnity insurance.
• Operate as a limited company or sole trader.
• Selection process will apply.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the accrediting body.
• Attend professional supervision while providing counselling.
• Ensure consent and referral form is completed and signed by parents.
• Complete initial information gathering as appropriate.
• Complete and issue a summary report of interventions and strategies.
• Maintain professional interactions at all times.
• Ensure robust data protection for sensitive information.
• Support quality assurance and evaluation processes.
