Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is seeking Counsellor Therapists to deliver counselling services to children on a sessional basis across counties in Ireland, on behalf of the Department of Education. Roles involve blocks of eight sessions per referral and adherence to ethical standards.

Applicants should hold a Level 7 degree or higher in a relevant field, with recognised counselling/psychotherapy credentials or supervised experience with children.

Qualifications

• recognised Level 7 degree or higher in a relevant human science.
• degree or postgraduate qualification in counselling/psychotherapy recognised by professional bodies.
• professional accreditation or membership with key psychology/psychotherapy bodies.
• two years (min 150 hours) supervised counselling experience with children.
• professional accredited qualification in child and adolescent counselling optional if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the relevant accrediting body.
• Attend professional supervision while providing counselling.
• Ensure consent and referral form are completed and signed by parents.
• Complete initial information gathering as appropriate.
• Complete and issue a summary report detailing interventions and strategies.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions.
• Safeguard sensitive child information and data privacy.
• Participate in quality assurance and programme evaluation.
