Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution seeks a Head of Technical Services & Quality to drive technical and quality strategy across Ireland and the UK. You will guide engineering teams, ensure compliance with type-approval and safety standards, and expand conversion and fitout capabilities.

You will lead QA governance, develop standardized SOPs, and implement cross-site quality audits to uphold product quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering or Quality Management.
8–10+ years in technical leadership within automotive/manufacturing.
In-depth knowledge of European/UK Type-Approval regulations and ISO 9001.
Proven multi-site leadership across cross-border facilities.

Responsibilities

Ensure SOPs align with Health & Safety regulations and regulatory standards.
Ensure conversion designs meet statutory type-approval, roadworthiness and vehicle safety standards.
Establish unified QA frameworks across Ireland and the UK operations.
Build, review and maintain a centralized SOP library for technical workflows.
Enforce QC gates at all workshop locations to deliver zero-defect vehicles.
Lead root-cause analysis for defects and implement CAPA plans.
