Job summary

BoyleSports is seeking a Head of Cyber Defence to own security strategy across cloud, retail, corporate and product surfaces. This hands-on leader runs the SOC, directs incident response and sets security posture in collaboration with Architecture, Engineering and Infrastructure.

You will manage external MSSP, regulate risk with regulators, and drive a culture of security awareness through targeted training. Strong communication to the Board and CPTO is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on defender with recent incident command experience.
• Deep practical knowledge of modern detection and response tooling.
• Strong AWS security and cloud threat detection expertise.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK mapped techniques.
• Experience managing outsourced SOC relationships.

Responsibilities

• Set security strategy, policy and governance across cloud, retail, corporate and product surfaces.
• Run the in-house SOC and lead detection engineering direction and incident response.
• Act as Incident Commander on P1 events and coordinate regulator notifications and customer communications.
• Drive a security-aware culture through targeted training and phishing simulations.
• Oversee risk management, vulnerability management and third-party security relationships.
