Job summary

Rau Restaurant Limited in Clane, Co. Kildare, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation and service.

The role requires 2–5 years of kitchen experience, a culinary qualification is preferred but not essential, and strong teamwork and time management to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting. Starting date: 15/10/2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in a similar chef/kitchen role.
• Experience in Asian, Nepalese, Indian, Thai, or other fast-paced restaurant cooking would be an advantage.
• Culinary Arts/Hospitality/Food Preparation qualification preferred but not essential.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, food safety and kitchen safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with the smooth day‑to‑day running of the kitchen.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard.
• Support menu preparation and maintain food quality and consistency.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff during service and ensure hygiene standards.
• Manage stock rotation, food storage and waste reduction.
