Job summary

Viking Hotel Waterford is seeking a Chef De Partie to join our kitchen team. You will support the Head Chef and contribute to high standards in a busy hotel kitchen in Ireland.

Ideal candidates will have minimum 6 months in hospitality, strong English, and a passion for food. Shifts include evenings and weekends; flexible full- or part-time options are considered.

  • Maintain hygiene and HACCP regulations at all times.

Viking Hotel Waterford is preparing for a busy season in The Wooden Pestle Bar & Restaurant and we are looking for talented experienced Chef De Parties to join our Kitchen team .

The Hotel

The Viking Hotel is located 4km from Waterford city centre and just 7km from the M9 motorway. The hotel offers a perfect base for both business and leisure guests. We have 98 rooms in total that are tastefully designed with the comfort of home in mind. The Wooden Pestle Bar & Restaurant recently underwent a makeover and has a great atmosphere which is enjoyed by residents and locals alike. Our front of house areas are tastefully designed and provides the perfect backdrop for our team to welcome every guest who walks through the door!

The Role

If you would like to progress within your career, this may be the exciting opportunity you've been searching for. You must demonstrate a passion for food, and have a good level of experience preparing food in a busy Irish hotel, bar or restaurant of a 4 star standard or above. Reporting to the Head Chef our Chef De Partie will be responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the kitchen and get the opportunity to contribute to a kitchen team with high standards. Candidates must also be eligible to work in Ireland and have a good level of english.

This irole will involve shifts, evenings & weekend work but may suit someone t owork full or part time. About The Role
What's involved in the role:
  • Supporting the Head Chef to ensure the overall smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Preparing mise en place and menu dishes for service for allocated section to the required standard.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of food service in conjunction with the kitchen and restaurant teams.
  • Working in an organised, hygienic manner at all times ensuring the HACCP regulations are adhered to.
A person who may be suited to this role will have:
  • Previous Chef de Partie experience with a minimum of two years.
  • Good working knowledge of food hygiene regulations.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a small team.
