Job summary

Ethos seeks a CFD Engineer to join the Sustainability & Building Physics team in Dublin, working on Simstudio CFD projects. The role sits hybrid, embedded in the Dublin office while collaborating daily with the Simstudio CFD team in the Netherlands.

You will deliver advanced CFD simulations supporting the design of high-performance, sustainable environments and contribute to modeling methodologies, QA/QC, and client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Carry out CFD simulations to assess airflow, thermal performance, wind conditions, smoke movement, and environmental comfort.
• Work on advanced CFD projects for data centres, wind engineering, and fire safety applications.
• Translate complex CFD outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for clients, architects, and engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with both Ethos and Simstudio engineers to integrate CFD findings into overall design strategies.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, visualisations, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of modelling methodologies, QA/QC procedures, and R&D initiatives within the joint CFD team.
