• Provide continence and toileting care, including changing catheter bags.
• Support nursing staff with psychological and social care.
• Maintain residents' dignity, comfort and safety.
• Comply with hygiene, health, safety and infection control requirements.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by nursing or management.

We are hiring Healthcare Assistants for a leading Nursing home Across Ireland

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs

Safely handle and transfer residents in accordance with manual handling procedures

Deliver meals and assist residents with feeding as required

Collect used meal trays and dishes and ensure residents’ rooms are left clean and tidy

Make beds and change bed linen as required

Provide continence and toileting care, including emptying commodes and changing catheter bags

Support nursing staff in providing appropriate psychological and social care to residents

Maintain constant awareness of residents’ dignity, comfort, safety, and whereabouts

Comply with all hygiene, health, safety, and infection prevention and control requirements

Carry out any other duties as assigned by the nursing or management team

Requirements

Relevant healthcare degree or qualification in Nursing, Allied Health, or Medical field

Alternatively, mentoring, training, or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting

QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare

Minimum 2 years of care experience

Proven track record as a high-performing Healthcare Assistant

Excellent communication and personal care skills

Knowledge of healthcare standards, including HIQA and infection prevention and control
