Qualifications

• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility with shift patterns, including evenings and weekends where required.
• Desirable: previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service.
• Desirable: Level 2 Food Safety in Catering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with established recipes and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Support senior catering staff in the setup and breakdown of catering events and service areas.
• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed by the catering team.
• Assist with the serving of food and beverages to clients and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with the organisation of storage areas.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and report any hazards or concerns to management.
• Respond to special dietary requirements and food allergies with attention and care.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the catering operation through teamwork and flexibility.
