Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a catering assistant to work in our hospital kitchens as part of a large team, helping plate patient meals and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

You should be able to work well in a team or on your own, follow instructions and communicate clearly. You will need to meet the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland; an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but full training will be given.

As a catering assistant you will be working in the hospitals busy kitchen to work as part of a large team to maintain a clean safe working environment & to assist in the plating up of all patient meals. You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

An Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but full training will be given.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for this role.
