Job summary

Mater Private Network is seeking an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our patient-focused team in a fast-paced hospital setting. This casual on-call role focuses on delivering excellent service, serving meals, and ensuring dietary requirements are accurately managed for patients.

You will collaborate with nursing and other departments to maintain smooth service, handle patient enquiries, and uphold high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a busy catering environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety (HACCP Level 1 & 2).
• Understanding of modified diets, allergens, and fluid grades.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, mornings, and evenings.
• Ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative.
