Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Cork City is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to support the catering team and uphold high standards of food service, cleanliness and customer care. You will assist with preparation, serving and presentation of food and beverages, keep dining areas clean, and follow HACCP, hygiene and health-and-safety rules while working closely with chefs and staff.

Flexibility for early starts, evenings, weekends or holidays may be required; prior catering or hospitality

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation, serving and presentation of food and beverages.
  • Set up and clear dining areas, service areas and catering facilities.
  • Serve meals and refreshments to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Wash and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery and work areas.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
  • Follow food safety, HACCP and workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Store food and catering supplies correctly and safely.
  • Assist with stock rotation and checking deliveries where required.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work closely with chefs, catering staff and other team members.
  • Provide helpful and courteous service to customers.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Catering Manager.

Working Conditions
