Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Regional Category Lead for MRO in EMEA. You will own the MRO category, lead sourcing, negotiations, and contract implementation for strategic projects across EMEA and selected APAC sites.

You will partner with Engineering, Property Services, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver annual value improvements, while using GenAI-enabled tools for insights and spend analysis. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • At least 6 years procurement experience.
  • Experience with RFx and sourcing for large construction bids.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Experience in MRO or CCFS categories preferred.
  • English language proficiency and travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead MRO category procurement and sourcing for strategic projects in EMEA and select APAC needs.
  • Develop and implement CCFS category strategies aligned to business goals.
  • Partner with Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams.
  • Drive negotiations, contracts, and adherence to performance targets.
  • Utilize data, analytics, and GenAI tools for supplier insights and spend analysis.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, and development initiatives.
  • Escalate issues and deliver value through scorecards and milestones.

Job description

  • Serve as Regional Category Lead for MRO in EMEA, with support for select APAC manufacturing sites
  • Lead and implement strategies aligned to the Capital Construction & Facility Services strategy
  • Partner with Engineering & Property Services, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Identify business demand and planning requirements to deliver annual value improvements and competitive advantage
  • Connect across CCFS and Indirect Procurement categories to support project needs
  • Represent Procurement in key forums and communicate data, insights, and updates
  • Support transition from construction to operational readiness
  • Own MRO category and sourcing procurement processes for strategic projects across EMEA and select APAC needs
  • Lead sourcing, negotiations, contract implementation, contract adherence, and performance against targets
  • Manage medium- to high-complexity spend to optimize savings, capabilities, cash flow, schedules, and total cost of ownership
  • Evaluate new suppliers based on total cost of ownership, risk, capabilities, and long-term value
  • Use digital, data, analytics, and GenAI-enabled tools for supplier insights, contract intelligence, spend analysis, RFx preparation, and category strategy
  • Manage preferred supplier relationships and procurement activities
  • Lead supplier relationship management, performance management, supplier development, value improvement, and innovation delivery
  • Engage supplier leadership on quality, reliability, innovation, service, and cost
  • Escalate and resolve issues affecting Procurement or team members
  • Deliver MRO business plan commitments for savings, cost management, cash flow, supplier management, and measurable value
  • Apply the CCFS Procurement operating model with Service Delivery sourcing, category peers, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive project execution through scorecards, milestone tracking, leadership updates, and issue/risk mitigation
Requirements
  • Minimum BA/BS degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Science, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of procurement experience
  • Experience with Procurement policies, operations, processes, operating model, and value proposition
  • Broad understanding of business operations and Procurement focus areas, including spend, category, and supplier management
  • Experience managing RFx and sourcing activities for large construction project bid packages
  • Financial acumen and strong compliance with financial requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing, trust-building, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to prioritize requests and develop effective solutions or alternatives
  • Commitment to Credo-based decision-making, policy compliance, urgency, and confidentiality
  • Ability to assess and adapt to changes in the external environment
  • English language requirement
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Preferred: MBA or similar graduate degree
  • Preferred: At least 2 years of procurement experience in MRO or CCFS categories
  • Preferred: Pharmaceutical or medical technology industry experience
  • Preferred: Experience across geographies and supplier relationships spanning category teams, business units, and sectors
  • Preferred: Experience with data, analytics, market intelligence, and approved digital or GenAI-enabled tools
  • Preferred: Strong business and financial acumen
  • Preferred: Cross-functional team leadership and project management skills
  • Preferred: Understanding of AI concepts, responsible and ethical AI practices, and effective prompt generation
