Elite Talent Hub Recruitment is hiring an experienced Category C Truck Driver on behalf of an established client operating within the hardwood and sheet materials industry.

This is a full-time Monday-to-Friday driving position suited to someone who prefers longer-distance runs with fewer daily drops. The role involves nationwide deliveries to established trade customers.

The majority of delivery locations have forklifts and unloading equipment available on-site, meaning there is no forklift mounted or carried on the delivery vehicle.

Main Responsibilities

• Carry out nationwide deliveries of hardwood, timber and sheet materials.
• Complete longer-distance delivery routes with fewer drops.
• Ensure goods are transported safely and securely.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure loads are appropriately secured before departure.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers and the transport/operations team.
• Follow assigned routes while managing driving and working hours efficiently.
• Comply with Road Safety Authority requirements, tachograph regulations and working-time rules.
• Maintain a professional standard when representing the company at customer sites.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid Category C driving licence.
• Valid CPC and Driver Card.
• Previous professional truck-driving experience preferred.
• Comfortable with nationwide and longer-distance routes.
• Good knowledge of road safety and load-security requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently.
• Flexibility regarding starting times.
