Job summary

Depaul is seeking a dedicated case manager to work directly with service users in Dublin, employing the Depaul Support Toolkit to support progression and tenancy sustainment.

You will collaborate with Local Authorities and agencies, assess needs, advocate for clients, and maintain confidential records. The role requires mobility and a commitment to safeguarding, equality, and service delivery targets. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

  • Social Studies / Case Management accredited qualification.
  • Full valid driver’s licence with access to a car for travel.
  • At least two years as a case manager with service users with complex needs and coordinating support plans.
  • At least one year of regular IT system use with proficiency in Excel & Word.
  • Experience liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies.
  • Clear understanding of the case management approach.
  • Experience in outreach or tenancy sustainment capacity.
  • Experience in working with families.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with service users to achieve outcomes using the Depaul Support Toolkit.
  • Develop and maintain robust interagency relationships with Local Authorities and other agencies.
  • Assess clients’ needs and support them to achieve their goals.
  • Advocate and empower clients to overcome barriers and sustain their tenancies.
  • Ensure client information is recorded and stored in line with Data Protection regulations.
  • Support managers in reviewing service delivery against KPIs and funders’ requirements.
  • Participate in Depaul and external meetings with guidance from the Line Manager.
  • Work creatively to meet service objectives and ensure user needs are met.
  • Assist in team development to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Follow risk management procedures, including lone working.
  • Contribute to the Service Delivery Plan objectives.
  • Maintain professionalism in line with Depaul aims, values and ethos.
  • Participate in supervision and required training.
  • Adhere to Depaul policies on confidentiality and code of conduct.
  • Contribute to equal opportunities policy implementation.
  • Undertake other duties commensurate with the role.

Responsibilities
  • To work directly with service users, to achieve the best outcomes, using the Depaul Support Toolkit and be able to access other relevant wraparound services needed for client’s progression.
  • To develop and maintain robust, effective working relationships with Local Authorities and other agencies, using an interagency approach.
  • To assess clients’ needs and support them to achieve their goals.
  • To advocate and empower clients to overcome various barriers they encounter and that impact their ability sustain their tenancies.
  • To ensure that all clients information is recorded and stored as required and in line with Data Protection regulations and Depaul’s Confidentiality Policy.
  • To support the managers in reviewing the delivery of the service in light of the agreed Depaul Key Performance Indicators and the requirements of external funders.
  • To participate fully in meetings within Depaul and with external services, with the direction and support of the Line Manager.
  • To work creatively and exercise initiative to help the service meet its core objectives and ensure service user’s needs are met.
  • To work with the manager to develop the team to ensure its effectiveness in delivering agreed outcomes.
  • To adhere fully to the Health & Safety Responsibilities.
  • To adhere fully to Organisational Risk Management Procedures, especially in relation to assessing risk and to lone working.
  • To ensure Depaul meets its strategic objectives, as detailed in the Service Delivery Plan for the service.
  • To at all times undertake the role in a professional manner, always working in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of the Depaul.
  • To participate fully in the supervision structure (including Induction and Progress reviews, monthly supervisions, JARs).
  • To participate fully in all training, as required by the Organisation.
  • To adhere to all Depaul People and Organisation Policies and Procedures, especially in regard to Professional Boundaries, Confidentiality & the Code of Conduct.
  • To contribute to the effective implementation of the Depaul’s Equal Opportunities Policy as it affects both the organisation and its work with service users.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be required which are commensurate with the role.
Requirements
  • Social Studies /Case Management Accredited Qualification
  • Full Valid Driver’s Licence and access to the use of a car, as the role requires a degree of flexibility for travel.
  • At least two years of working, as a case manager with service users with complex needs and co-ordinating support plans for service users.
  • At least one year of regular use of IT systems with a good proficiency in Excel & Word
