Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association invites applications for part-time Healthcare Assistants (Personal Assistants) in Stamullen & Naul. Roles involve assisting Members in daily living within homes and communities, with one evening per week and every Saturday block hours.

Qualifications

• Full Major Award at QQI Level 5 in Community & Health Services, Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support.
• Experience of working with people in a caring role (essential).
• Be reliable, trustworthy, and always maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with a good level of spoken and written English.
• Full driving licence with access to own vehicle (essential).
• Willing to drive service user's vehicle (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Enable Members to achieve maximum independence in daily living by assisting with personal care, domestic tasks, social and educational support, travel and companionship.
• Role takes place in the homes and communities of Members.
• Liaise and coordinate with Home carers and Scheduling staff to ensure coverage and continuity of care.
