Job summary

Sherlock Recruitment is recruiting a Caretaker for a school in Athlone. This full-time, permanent role offers Monday–Friday hours, starting ASAP with a 7:30am–3:30pm shift. The successful candidate will maintain grounds, perform cleaning, painting and general caretaking to keep the school safe and well maintained.

Ideal applicants have relevant experience, Safe Pass and Manual Handling, reliable and hands-on, with strong communication and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, landscaping or similar role.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling qualifications are required.
• Practical and hands-on approach with reliability and responsibility.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and perform landscaping and maintenance tasks.
• Clean and paint as needed to keep the school in a good state.
• Carry out general caretaking duties and ensure facilities are safe and well maintained.

Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for general upkeep and maintenance around the school, including:

• Landscaping and grounds maintenance
• Cleaning
• Painting
• General caretaking duties
• Keeping the school grounds and facilities clean, safe and well maintained
