Company Details Confidential is seeking a practical Groundsoperative to join our caretaking team in Ireland. You will maintain outdoor areas, support site operations, and ensure the site remains clean, safe and presentable.

Duties include groundskeeping, yard maintenance, and assisting with waste management and housekeeping as required. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, physically fit, and ready to follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a general operative or groundskeeping role would be advantageous.
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical duties.
• Willingness to operate groundskeeping equipment after training.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to identify and report hazards or defects.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a team or on your own.
• Flexible approach to support different areas of site operations.
• Good attention to detail to maintain a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and litter picking across yards and carparks.
• Gritting when necessary and maintaining walkways.
• Complete a scheduled set of cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Follow safe systems of work and risk assessment directions.
• Maintain high personal standards of work, hygiene and appearance.
• Assist with special duties outside normal hours when required.
• Wear PPE as specified by supervisor or manager.
• Report faults in cleaning machinery and equipment to supervisor.
• Report building defects to supervisor and management team.
• Attend company meetings and training as requested.
• Carry out day-to-day cleaning tasks across yards, carparks and waste areas.

Job Description

Working as part of the caretaking team, you will play a key role in maintaining the facility’s outdoor areas, supporting site operations, and ensuring the site remains clean, safe and presentable at all times. Responsibilities will include maintaining grounds, roadways, yards and surrounding areas, carrying out general site cleaning and housekeeping duties, assisting with waste management and recycling, and supporting maintenance and operational teams as required. You will also conduct routine inspections, report hazards or defects, operate groundskeeping equipment following training, and assist with seasonal duties such as grass growth control.

The Person

• Previous experience in a general operative, groundskeeping, maintenance or similar hands-on role would be advantageous.


• Comfortable working outdoors and carrying out practical, physical duties.


• Willingness to operate groundskeeping equipment following training.


• Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.


• Ability to identify and report hazards or defects.


• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.

Key Accountabilities

• General cleaning / Litter picking

• Ensure that all tasks are carried out in a professional manner, following all \"safe systems of work\" & risk assessment directions


• Provide high personal standards of work/performance, personal hygiene and appearance

• Wear any items of personal protective equipment, as specified by the cleaning supervisor / manager


• Report all faults in relation to cleaning machinery/equipment to the supervisor / management team

• Carry out any reasonable request, as specified by the supervisor / management team to attend all company meetings and training as requested.


• General day to day cleaning – Yards , Carparks , changing bins, etc


• Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed on site
