Job summary

Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary – Part-time Carer position with Sodexo. Provide compassionate personal care to elderly residents, including mobility, dressing, bathing and mealtimes, in a supportive, respectful setting.

Shifts include 8am-3pm, 4pm-10.30pm and 10.30pm-7am with a 3 over 7 pattern. Garda Vetting required; QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent preferred. Opportunities for career development and employee benefits available.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Care of the Older Person, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare, residential care, nursing home, or caregiving environment.
• Garda Vetting is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining residents' dignity, privacy and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and daily living support to elderly residents.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence and wellbeing through companionship and respectful person-centred care.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or care needs to healthcare professionals.

What you'll bring:

• QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Care of the Older Person, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year previous experience in a healthcare, residential care, nursing home, or caregiving environment.
• Must be Garda Vetted.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and respectful approach to caring for older people.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining residents' dignity, privacy, and independence.
