Job summary

Sodexo Ltd. in Ireland seeks a compassionate, organised House Manager / Qualified Carer to oversee the day-to-day running of a residential home for up to eight residents.

This hands-on role combines house management, team coordination and direct care to ensure a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment. You will lead staff rotas, coordinate care, catering and cleaning, maintain records, and ensure regulatory compliance while providing person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Current or previous experience providing direct care to people with support needs.
• Experience supervising or coordinating staff in a residential, care, hospitality or similar environment.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection prevention and person-centred care.
• Good understanding of health & safety and risk assessments.
• Ability to coordinate maintenance, catering and cleaning services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational, record-keeping and basic IT skills.
• Willingness and physical ability to undertake appropriate care, cleaning and catering duties.
• Supervisory or management qualification.
• Food hygiene certification.
• First-aid training.
• Fire-safety or fire-marshal training.
• Moving and handling training.
• Experience managing a small residential or supported-living service.
• Experience within Sodexo or another regulated service environment.

• Maintain high standards of cleaning, hygiene and infection prevention.
• Carry out routine premises and safety checks and coordinate approved contractors.
• Ensure health & safety, fire safety, safeguarding and other regulatory requirements are followed.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.
• Monitor supplies and support responsible stock and budget control.
• Respond calmly and effectively to operational issues, emergencies and changing priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve both residents' experience and the operation of the home.

About the Role
