Job summary

Bluebird Care Ireland is seeking an experienced Care Supervisor for the Sligo area. The role covers supervising a team of Health and Social Care Assistants, ensuring clients receive safe, person-centred care in their own homes.

You will collaborate with Care Managers, Clinical Leads and senior management to uphold standards and compliance. The position requires leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to best-practice care delivery, with responsibilities including care planning,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in home care or senior care.
• QQI Level 5 Healthcare or equivalent.
• Full driving licence and Moving & Handling certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular care supervision visits in clients' homes and across various practice settings.
• Mentor, support and develop Health and Social Care Assistants through supervision, guidance and feedback.
• Participate in care activities as part of supervision and quality-assurance process.
• Develop, review and monitor client care and support plans reflecting individual care needs.
• Assess risk assessments, care plans and relevant documentation and follow up with managers.
• Maintain accurate supervision and client records.
• Support new client case setups and ensure appropriate care arrangements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families and Care Assistants.
• Ensure care delivery meets standards (HSE, HCCI, ISO, franchise and company).
• Identify training needs and support staff to deliver person-centred care.
• Report to senior management regarding clinical or care-related concerns.
• Organise workloads and respond to changing client needs and emergencies.
