Job summary

Access Healthcare is recruiting Healthcare Assistants to support Moycullen and surrounding areas in Co. Galway. The role involves assisting with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily living activities, in line with individual care plans. A full driving licence may be advantageous for rural locations.

Shifts include morning/day, long day, and occasional nights; pay starts from €15 per hour with shift premiums; weekly pay and ongoing agency assignments are offered by Access Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification including Care Skills
• Care of the Older Person module
• At least one: Care Support, Communications, or Safety and Health at Work

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support mobility, nutrition and hydration where required.
• Promote dignity, privacy, independence and individual choice.
• Observe and report changes in health or wellbeing.
• Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider healthcare team.
• Follow infection prevention, safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe, respectful and supportive care environment.
