Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate of the Society for Cardiological Science and Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• Approved entry-to-practice qualifications listed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology.
• BSc (Hons) in Clinical Measurement Science from Dublin Institute of Technology or Technological University Dublin.
• Candidates who qualified in or prior to 2005 may hold a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong teamwork in a clinical environment.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy healthcare setting while maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties to the appropriate level under supervision of the designated lead Cardiac Physiologist and in cooperation with the Consultant Cardiologist or the multidisciplinary team.
• Calibrate, maintain and audit external services relating to all equipment and ensure sterility where required.
• Manage own caseload and contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of diagnostic for other service providers.
• Prioritise work and promote positive staff morale and team working; participate in on-call rota or rota changes as needed.
