Job summary

A healthcare recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join a leading private hospital in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Clinical Measurement, IICMP registration, and at least 3 years of relevant experience in conducting cardiac investigations. Responsibilities include ECG recording, echocardiography, and technical support in cardia labs. Competitive salary is negotiable.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to interpret ECGs and perform echocardiograms.
• Experience with patient monitoring devices.

Responsibilities

• Record and interpret ECGs.
• Perform transthoracic echocardiography.
• Provide technical support in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
• Set up and analyze 24-hour Holter monitoring data.
• Coordinate 24-hour ABPM and analyze results.
• Assist with event recording setup and analysis.
• Support cath lab for angiograms/PCI and assist during emergencies.
• Assist with tilt-table testing as required.

Overview of the role:

• ECGs – Recording/Interpretation and highlighting abnormal findings.
• Transthoracic echocardiography – scanning & reporting independently to BSE/EACVI/ARDMS standard.
• Loop‑recorder, pacemaker, ICD & Biventricular device interrogation & follow‑up, including home‑monitoring & Heart Rhythm Ireland database experience.
• 24‑hour Holter monitoring – Patient hook up and technical downloading/analysis interpretation.
• 24‑hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring – Patient hook up and analysis of same.
• Event Recording – Patient hook up and analysis.
• Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory technical support for Angiograms & percutaneous Coronary Intervention and competence during emergency procedures.
• Tilt‑Table testing.

Key Requirements:

• A BSc in Clinical Measurement or equivalent.
• IICMP registration
• 3 years experience
