Job summary

The Rehab Group is seeking a part-time Retail, Catering and Hospitality Instructor to support a fixed-term assignment in Castlebar, Mayo. This role involves supervising a café, assisting learners and participants, and helping maintain high standards of food safety and customer service.

The position runs 6 months at 25 hours per week (9:30-2:30, Mon-Fri) with salary starting from €33,000-€35,000 pro rata. Based in Linenhall St, Castlebar, the role offers practical experience in hospitality

Qualifications

• Relevant food safety, catering or hospitality qualification is desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe working practices.
• Experience supervising or providing day-to-day guidance to others.
• Experience of stock control, ordering and/or cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily café activities, including opening and closing, task allocation, customer service and workflow, escalating issues as required.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, direction and practical support to learners and participants, allocating tasks and providing guidance appropriate to their skills and development needs.
• Support compliance with food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures, maintaining required standards, records and checklists and reporting hazards or incidents promptly.
• Monitor stock levels and support the ordering, receipt, storage and rotation of supplies while minimising waste and reporting equipment or supply issues.
