Job description

Business Development Manager – Professional Haircare
Territory: Dublin
Love premium brands, building relationships and driving sales?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a successful, established territory for a leading name within the professional hair industry.

With more than 200 active accounts already in place, this is not a role where you will be starting from scratch. You will inherit a substantial customer base and be responsible for strengthening key relationships, increasing account value and identifying further opportunities for growth.

Our client has an excellent reputation, a loyal professional customer base and an impressive portfolio of premium products used by salons and stylists across Ireland.

They are now looking for an experienced, commercially focused Business Development Manager who can confidently manage a busy territory and deliver continued sales growth.

What does my day look like?

As Business Development Manager, you will become the trusted commercial partner for salon owners, stylists and key decision-makers across your territory.

You will balance the needs of a large existing account base with proactive new business development, ensuring every customer receives the right level of support while maximising the commercial potential of the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of more than 200 active accounts.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with salon owners and decision-makers.
  • Creating and delivering an effective territory and journey plan.
  • Increasing account value through upselling, cross-selling and new product launches.
  • Identifying underperforming accounts and developing clear plans to re-engage and grow them.
  • Winning new salon and professional accounts across the territory.
  • Delivering product demonstrations, training and brand education.
  • Negotiating commercial opportunities and securing new business.
  • Monitoring sales performance, customer activity and territory opportunities.
  • Representing the brand professionally at events, education sessions and industry exhibitions.
  • Sharing customer feedback, competitor activity and market insights with the wider business.
What do you bring to the role?

We are looking for someone who brings energy, commercial confidence and genuine enthusiasm for account development.

You will ideally have:

  • At least two years’ experience in field sales, business development or territory account management.
  • Experience managing a large or high-value portfolio of active customers.
  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent territory planning, organisation and time-management skills.
  • The confidence to manage both established and challenging accounts.
  • A consultative sales style and a natural ability to build trust with customers.
  • Experience selling premium products, professional brands or technical product ranges.
  • The ability to learn products quickly and communicate their benefits effectively.
  • A proactive approach to new business development and account growth.
  • A full driving licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the territory.

Experience within professional hair, beauty, skincare, pharmacy, healthcare, dental, luxury brands or another relationship-led field-sales environment would be highly relevant.

What’s in It for You?
  • An established territory with more than 200 active accounts.
  • The opportunity to represent premium, industry-leading brands.
  • Uncapped commission.
  • Company car and additional benefits.
  • Ongoing product, sales and industry training.
  • Genuine autonomy and ownership of your territory.
  • The opportunity to make a visible commercial impact within a growing business.

This role would suit an experienced account manager who enjoys being out in the field, developing meaningful customer relationships and turning a strong territory into an exceptional one.

If you are commercially driven, highly organised and ready to take ownership of a significant account base, we would love to hear from you.
