Job summary

Design Build Search is seeking a Building Services Engineer for projects across Dublin. The role ensures building services are coordinated with other construction activities, from specification and procurement through to installation, testing and commissioning across commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare buildings.

Candidates should have 3rd level qualifications with at least three years experience, knowledge of AutoCAD and IT systems, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualifications and at least three years experience with a building contractor or transferable field.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant IT systems.
• Ability to work in teams with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate building services with other construction activities from procurement through installation and commissioning.
• Submit O&M manuals and assist in preparing detailed tender documentation.
• Travel to sites with a valid driver's licence.

Job description

A well known and leading building contractor has an opportunity for a Building Services Engineer for projects across Dublin.

The role is responsible for ensuring all building services are coordinated with other construction activities, from specification and procurement through to the installation, testing and commissioning of services in a variety of commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare buildings.

Skills Required

• Experience with specifications, service drawings, architectural and structural details, liaising with design teams, coordinating subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with Company standards and programme.
• Manage submission of O & M manuals and other ad hoc duties such as assisting in the preparation of detailed tender documentation.
• Full drivers licence and flexibility to travel to sites

Requirements

3rd level qualifications and at least three years experience gained either with a building contractor or in a skills transferable field.

Relevant IT systems and knowledge of AutoCAD is required, as is the ability to work in teams, to be organised self starters and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
