Job summary

Arup in Ireland offers a Bridges and Civil Structures work placement for students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural Engineering. You will work closely with experienced bridge engineers to design bridges and civil structures and perform modelling with Sofistik and GSA.

This placement supports sustainable development ambitions and exposes you to multidisciplinary projects across transport, water and master planning, with learning opportunities and flexible working within Arup.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural Engineering (NFQ Level 8/9 or equivalent).
• Interest in sustainable development and solving complex challenges.
• Willingness to learn and explore new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Assist bridge and civil-structures design using reinforced/concrete and steel.
• Undertake structural modelling with Sofistik, GSA or similar software.
• Collaborate with experienced bridge engineers on diverse transport and master planning projects.
