Job summary

OLD MILL CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is seeking experienced Bricklayers/Blocklayers to join our team in Ireland. The role involves brickwork, blockwork and masonry across residential, commercial, industrial, and civil projects, delivering high standards of workmanship and safety.

Applicants should have 2–3 years relevant experience, read drawings, work independently or with others, and communicate in English. A strong work ethic and physical fitness are essential to meet project schedules and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Bricklayer or Mason.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience in brickwork, blockwork, stonework and general masonry.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials to required dimensions and standards.
• Construct foundations, walls, partitions, chimneys, retaining walls, arches, and other masonry structures.
• Prepare and apply mortar mixes and ensure correct bonding and alignment of masonry units.
• Measure, cut, and shape bricks, blocks, and stone using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Check work using spirit levels, plumb lines, and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Repair, restore, and maintain existing brick and block structures where required.
• Work safely in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with site supervisors and other construction trades to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
