Job summary

Grand Hotel Malahide is seeking a part-time Breakfast Assistant to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a 3- or 4-star hotel, with a strong customer focus and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Fast-Paced, independent thinker.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within 3* or 4* hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out, to the best of your ability, all reasonable duties requested by the Head Chef or Senior Kitchen Staff
• Assist the Chef with breakfast preparation and food production
• Prepare and replenish items for the breakfast buffet
• Meet and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner during breakfast service
• Ensure hot food plates are pre-heated and service-ready
• Maintain the breakfast buffet area in a clean, tidy, and well-presented condition at all times
• Monitor food levels and ensure timely replenishment
• Follow all HACCP and food safety procedures
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and professional appearance at all times
• Assist with cleaning duties, including kitchen equipment and food preparation areas
• Ensure proper storage of food items in line with health and safety regulations
• Support the team in maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction
