Job summary

Strata Financial, an Irish-owned firm serving SME owners, invites applications for an ambitious and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a diverse portfolio of clients.

In this role you will manage client accounts, perform bookkeeping, payroll and client accounting work, and work with Managers to broaden your technical accounting knowledge and cloud accounting skills across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and basic accounts preparation.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts and balancing competing priorities.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong workload management and time-planning skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of client companies.
• Record all receipts, payments and financial transactions in accounting systems.
• Process transactions using Sage, Surf Accounts and Xero.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain organised bookkeeping records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with VAT and other statutory returns.
• Prepare financial information and reports for management review.
• Assist Managers with client accounting requirements and information requests.
