Ethos Care Group is seeking a Governance, Risk & Compliance Officer to lead governance across 18 HIQA-registered nursing homes, with plans to expand to 21. The role reports to Board level, overseeing risk, compliance, safeguarding, and DPO duties while enabling practical, supportive governance for field teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in governance, risk, compliance or legal roles in multi-site or regulated environment.
• Degree or professional qualification in law, governance, risk, health and safety, healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and Irish health and safety legislation.
• Experience building and running risk management frameworks.
• Ability to report to a Board and challenge senior colleagues constructively.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the group’s risk management framework and report to the senior leadership team and Board.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, including HIQA inspections, notifications and new centre registrations.
• Act as the group’s Data Protection Officer.
• Lead health and safety, child and adult safeguarding, and protected disclosures across the group.
• Deliver the annual audit programme and own the group’s policy framework.
• Support and train managers and teams in every centre.
