Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a BMS Service Technician to operate on customer sites around Dublin, Ireland. You will deliver service tasks, configure and commission building control systems, and maintain documentation while promoting safety and OpenBlue technologies.

The role emphasizes independent work with team collaboration, requiring a driving license and strong communication skills in a mobile field setting.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in control systems as a service engineer.
• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional certifications/diplomas in relevant areas welcomed.
• Working knowledge of Metasys systems (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical details to non-technical audiences.
• Computer literacy (MS Office suite)
• Full clean Irish driving license
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Willingness to work overtime and join the out-of-hours callout rota

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned service tasks efficiently, ensuring high customer satisfaction
• Configure and commission building control systems and network-level controllers
• Maintain system documentation and modify software programs using established standards
• Document service activities and create service reports
• Promote safety and adopt a Zero Harm mindset
• Support Key Account Managers with project pricing and design
• Advocate JCI cloud-based and OpenBlue technologies
