Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a BMS Service Technician to deliver on-site service across customer sites in Dublin. You will configure, commission, and maintain building management systems, ensuring documentation accuracy and high safety standards.

You will work with project teams, support pricing and design efforts, and promote cloud-based solutions such as OpenBlue. The role requires strong communication, independence, and willingness for out-of-hours support.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in control systems as a service engineer.
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Certifications/diplomas in relevant areas welcomed.
• Working knowledge of Metasys systems (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned service tasks efficiently with high customer satisfaction.
• Configure and commission building control systems and network-level controllers.
• Maintain system documentation and modify software programs to established standards.
• Document service activities and create service reports.

What You Will Do

As a BMS Service Technician, you’ll represent Johnson Controls on customer sites, shaping the future direction of their BMS systems. You’ll work closely with clients, support project delivery teams, and identify growth opportunities for JCI business units.

What We Look For

• At least 5 years’ experience in control systems as a service engineer
• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Professional certifications/diplomas in relevant areas welcomed
• Working knowledge of Metasys systems (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical details to non-technical audiences
• Computer literacy (MS Office suite)
• Full clean Irish driving license
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Willingness to work overtime and join the out-of-hours callout rota
