Job summary

West Cork Distillers is seeking a Blending Operative to join our Skibbereen team. You will blend whiskeys, gins and other spirit-based beverages to recipe requirements and prepare base blends according to specifications.

You will work with the laboratory to bring samples for testing, ensure traceability guidelines are followed, and maintain an audit-ready blending area. The role may require flexibility to take on additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Blend Whiskeys, gins and other spirit based beverages to recipe requirements
• Preparing base blends to recipe requirements
• Filtration of liquids
• Preparation of bulk products such as the addition of flavourings to base alcohol
• Ensuring all procedures followed to guarantee traceability guidelines are maintained
• Ensuring forklift and pallet truck procedures are adhered to at all times (forklift training will be provided)
• Working with the team in the laboratory bringing samples for testing as required
• Ensuring the blending area is maintained in an audit ready state at all times
• Flexibility may be required to undertake additional/other duties on occasion, based on business needs and requirements.

We are currently looking for a Blending Operative to join our team in West Cork Distillers.

What You'll Do.

• Blend Whiskeys, gins and other spirit based beverages to recipe requirements combining different spirits and flavourings
• Preparing base blends to recipe requirements
• Filtration of liquids
• Preparation of bulk products such as the addition of flavourings to base alcohol
• Ensuring all procedures followed to guarantee traceability guidelines are maintained
• Ensuring Forklift and pallet truck procedures are adhered to at all times (forklift training will be provided)
• Working with the team in the laboratory bringing samples for testing as required
• Ensuring the blending area is maintained in an audit ready state at all times
• Flexibility may be required to undertake additional/other duties on occasion, based on business needs and requirements.
