Job summary

MSD in Dunboyne, Ireland, is seeking a Manufacturing Technical Operations Specialist to join our state-of-the-art biotech facility. You will support cross-functional teams to deliver milestones, drive continuous improvements, and ensure GMP compliance in manufacturing operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in regulated pharma, strong problem-solving and technical writing skills, and the ability to lead deviations and improvements across IPT and related teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5 years experience in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies & in-depth understanding of site level products & related processes.
• Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation & conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Demonstrated understanding of continuous / process improvement tools (DMAIC, Lean QA, 5S).
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving & root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively.
• Strong technical aptitude with regulatory interfacing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with the IPT to ensure on-time batch production delivery.
• Support operations to deliver KPIs such as EHS metrics, Production Plan, OEE and training.
• Provide assistance to maintenance, engineering and quality teams.
• Share process, engineering and maintenance best practices cross-functionally.
• Execute manufacturing processes according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Plan tasks with other groups and tie into the manufacturing process plan.
• Ensure high-quality product through equipment availability.
• Provide technical and engineering expertise across IPT projects.
• Maintain up-to-date manufacturing process and equipment knowledge.
• Lead deviations, improvements and equipment changes with cross-functional teams.
• Support updates to batch recipes, BOM and EBR in PAS.
