Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Project Equipment Lead to join a premier biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Limerick. You will oversee cross-functional site teams and major vendors on high-value CAPEX equipment projects, from design through FAT, C&Q, and commissioning.

You will develop end-to-end plans, manage budgets and schedules, direct external suppliers, and mentor engineering, QA, procurement and operations teams while ensuring cGMP compliance and CE markings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or related) or Project Management.
• Minimum 5+ years of dedicated engineering experience managing capital projects in biopharma manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading equipment-focused CAPEX projects (design, vendor management, FAT, commissioning).
• Deep understanding of cGMP regulations, safety clearances, CE marking, and change control processes.
• Strong leadership, risk mitigation, and communication to direct vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end project plans, master timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across equipment phases from design through FAT, C&Q.
• Direct external equipment suppliers and vendors, overseeing procurement, shipping, logistics, and site delivery.
• Lead, direct, and mentor multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, QA, procurement, and operations.
• Drive site installation schedules and coordinate vendor activities for seamless equipment integration.
• Monitor progress, perform risk assessments, implement mitigations, and present updates to senior management.
• Enforce safety and quality standards across lifecycles, complying with CE, cGMP, and internal policies.
