Job summary

Ascend PM is seeking a Construction Safety Engineer to join a multinational biopharmaceutical company based in Dublin. This is a 12-month contract with a view to extension, offering the opportunity to work on high‑profile projects.

You will drive safety on site, ensuring adherence to best practice standards, review RAMs and lift plans, conduct risk assessments, and report to the project manager while coordinating with EHS POC and stakeholders to maintain a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience as a construction safety engineer or similar role.
• Knowledge of construction industry safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to top standards.
• Walk construction work with contractor to ensure safe practices.
• Perform gap analyses against regulatory requirements and SOPs.
• Review RAMS, lift plans and temporary work designs for best practices.
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
